The Electrician Certification Program

The Law has passed, and has been signed into law! All in the Electrical Trade should go directly to the "Take the Test" link here!

Renewing your Certification:

In order to maintain your certification status you must do two things before your renewal date.

  1. This one is easy - WORK. "certify under penalty of perjury that he or she has worked in the industry 2000 hours within the previous three years."
  2. The second one is a little tough right now.... "proof under penalty of perjury of 32 hours further electrical education from an Educational Provider relevant to the type of certification" Why is it tough? Because there are not a lot of classes out there, and you need to be very careful to make sure that whatever classes you do take are "Approved"!
  3. You need to do this within 3 years of your original certification date. See this list, find your name, and check to see what date you need to have this all done by.
  4. How do you find the right form? How do you Renew? Well the DAS is a little slow on the up-take... They haven't figured it out yet, when I know, I'll let you know....
